1936 Cord 810 Front Wheel Drive Westchester Sedan. Cord 810's are recognized as a full Classic car. With the distinctive coffin nose and clean lines, this Cord was the true expression of Art Deco designs by Gordon Buehrig and was built in Auburn Indiana by the company that produced Auburns, Cords, and Duesenbergs . This Cord is restored to very high standards, starting with a nice car to begin with. We purchased the car after a beautiful body and interior restoration was done. The interior, gauges, body fit, bright work, and rubber components were certainly done properly. We continued to do the restoration by fitting later Bendix ( original Cord) brakes, quiet 5 ball drive axles, a new generator, and so much more. We replaced the transmission with a completely rebuilt unit done by marque expert Bill Bicknell, a newly re-cored radiator (correct), along with a completely rebuilt clutch. This car runs exceptionally well, and the electric gear shifter works very well. It is equipped with a clock (that works), a factory radio delete, and the correct heater. There are two sets of tires, the first being bias ply white walls (very correct) and a new set of Diamond Back radials that look like the original bias ply tires. All of the restoration and mechanical work was done professionally with originality in mind, and with an extra emphasis on drivability. Extra tail lights, turn lights, and brake lights are added, but are only bolted on for quick removal if desired. Please call ahead to set up a time to preview our Cord. Contact Dale at 989 835 4430
