1962 LAND ROVER 109 STATION WAGON. Right hand drive. PROJECT VEHICLE. Here at Rallye Import Auto, we rarely if ever, sell unfinished vehicles, but here is an opportunity for you if you would like a project. We have concentrated on other vehicles and our shop is so busy with customers cars, that we do not have time to complete this Rover and don't have time to get it up to our tough standards. This Rover runs very well. The engine, clutch, transmission, and transfer case work well. It however has an issue with the rear brakes, as they are coated with differential oil. New seals, and new brake cylinders need to be installed (we have them in stock). The manual steering gear (sector gear box) is tight and does not feel right. it is assumed that there is a bad bearing in the steering gear. Some of the window latches are missing. The under carriage and frame are nice on this Rover, as they have been coated with a rust preventative coating several times. The coating has protected the frame very well, but there is a build up of coating material. So here you have it, a solid, good running, rare Rover 109 that needs your attention at a reasonable price. We have a clear Michigan title in our name.
