1972 Citroen SM. This SM came from California to Michigan in 1998 when I bought it from a long term owner who had it serviced at SM World. We drove it to Michigan and enjoyed it for a year and sold it to one of our favorite clients. It has been driven very little in the last 23 years. We bought it back in late 2020. We have spent countless hours tuning the car and waking it up from many years of little use. It drives as though it was new. The 3 Weber carburetors are dialed in and the ignition has been updated to the latest Titus electronic ignition. The engine is powerful and the clutch is smooth. There are no issues with any mechanical or electrical item, and the car is ready to drive anywhere. The car has NO rust as it has never been driven in Winter. The car was repainted in California before 1998, and that paint is decent and holding up well. The body panels are all original and straight. The leather was a bit dry when we re-purchased the car, and we have been softening it with proper treatments. The leather remains intact and well colored. The transmission is smooth and shifts well, but the second gear synchro can be overrun if the driver takes the car to the max. The tires are new, the suspension works very well, with recent spheres, and the brakes are Citroen "responsive". This SM offers the famous SM driving experience and ownership satisfaction without any hassles.
