1977 BMW 320i E21. This car was bought new by our customer from the Laurel BMW dealership in Chicago. He prized this car and never drove it in bad weather. He had the dealer install BMW air conditioning and interestingly, he had them switch the interior from black to the beige. A technician spent a day swapping interiors from two new BMWs to complete the deal. After a few years of ownership, the owner bought a 5 speed transmission from a later 320 and installed it. With obsessive maintenance and limited use, this car lived a charmed life. As family life took his time, he decided to store the car 20 years ago. It sat in his garage attached to his house and only cleaned and waxed it. We bought it and brought it back to life. We had the gas tanks cleaned and lined as we rebuilt the fuel injection system, serviced the AC, rebuilt the brakes and had new foam padding put in the seats. We serviced the whole car and replaced the tires. Everything works as it should, even the clock. There is absolutely no mechanical issues with this car It is unusually quiet and drives like a new 1977 320i. The body is almost perfect, except there is a small bend at the bottom of the drivers door. We did not fix the bend, as we did not want to introduce paint work to the car. There has never been any rust or bad smells. It is complete with books, tools, original license plates, coca mats, and a factory repair manual. We still have the original 4 speed transmission if a new owner wants it. Being that this may be the nicest BMW E21 320i in North America, it is not being offered at a low price. If you want to drive a bargain,, this is not the car for you. However, if you want to drive this excellent, unusual, impossible to replace, historic BMW, lets talk.
